The West of Ireland is more than just a place. It’s’ a way of life. The Western Development Commission challenged us to rebrand their identity, reflecting the organisation’s vision for the future, a place where culture and community thrive.
The WDC support communities to grow, they invest in businesses to scale and they meticulously plan for the future of the Western Region.
Our design was produced through organisational analysis and brand workshop sessions with the WDC team. This research was the foundation for all our work. We developed a digital-first, modern identity, one that works with, but stands apart from the Government of Ireland brand. We designed and built a website that is intuitive to use and works as both a promotional and educational resource. We created a graphical system for WDC staff, enabling them to create promotional collateral for social channels as well as more traditional communications like stationery and pop-up stands.
“A complicated project made simple by a dedicated team. We worked with New Graphic on our brand identity, new website and all core concepts of the brand. The challenge we first brought to the New Graphic team seemed unsurmountable. Our website had not been updated or refreshed in over 10 years and our logo/identity was extremely dated. New Graphic looked at the analytics, at other agencies in our space both in Ireland and abroad and brought staff, management and our board on a journey. That journey helped us to understand first why we needed change, and then what that change would look like.
Through staff workshops, report documents and constant communication, the end result is beyond our expectations. We now have a website that is best in class and an identity we can build brand recognition with into the future.”
